NATO_PCO ON THE WORLD WIDE WEB (INTERNET)
Over the past years the mailing list for this newsletter has been growing at a considerable rate as we have continued receiving a large number of requests for inclusion, many from libraries and individual scientists who became acquainted with the NATO Science Committee programmes through their own participation in the many meetings organized with NATO sponsorship.
Due to the resulting pressure on funds and to the growing popularity of the INTERNET, we have recently implemented a major site on the World Wide Web (WWW) containing the most recent issues of our NEWSLETTER, the complete catalogue of the NATO ASI SERIES, information on our CD_ROM "NATO Science & Technology Disk" as well as calendars of forthcoming meetings and information for organizers on recommended sites for meetings.
All this information _ totalling about 2 Megabytes of data _ can be consulted free of charge by users of the INTERNET.
Our WWW Home Page can be accessed through the Home Page of KLUWER Academic Publishers at: www.wkap.nl
It has always been our objective to allow as many scientists and institutions as possible to be able to obtain the information available. However, since many less priviledged people in the world need the printed version of our NEWSLETTER, may we ask those scientists who are able to read the electronic version of the NEWSLETTER to let us know, so that we can redirect their copy to other deserving scientists.
We would also ask those institutions and individual readers receiving more than one copy per issue, to help us eliminate incorrect addresses and duplicates from our mailing list. In order to efficiently locate your name or institution we would appreciate it if you returned your mailing label. If you receive multiple copies, please return all labels indicating which is to be kept or deleted.
