CONTINUING SUCCESS OF TUTORIAL SALES OF NATO ASI SERIES VOLUMES

The majority of NATO ASI SERIES volumes are quite different from `ordinary" conference proceedings. `State-of-the-art volumes" or `Tutorial Texts" would generally be more apt descriptions of the books that result from scientific meetings which are selected for funding under quite severe criteria regarding quality and international standing of the lecturers as well as timeliness and coherence of the programmes.

Demand for NATO ASI SERIES volumes under the TUTORIAL SALES SCHEME continues growing steadily: in 1994 NATO ASI SERIES volumes were adopted for classroom use in 94 universities in various countries.

NATO ASI SERIES volumes are made available to individual scientists at favourable terms: the publishers of the series are offering the volumes through PCO at the preferential (highly discounted) rate of US Dollars 40.00 per volume if five or more copies are purchased for classroom use.
